Executive Committee's winter meeting

December saw the annual Executive Committee meeting this year in Madrid, Spain. The meeting is traditionally devoted to longer-term issues, and the focus this year was ECNP’s strategic direction in light of ongoing shifts in the science and the changing economics of the field. ECNP is well placed to deal with these changes, and the meeting mapped out the key priorities that will define the College’s scope of activities going forward.

Apply for ECNP Research Internship 2018

For 2018, ECNP is supporting 15 research internships. A selected group of senior researchers will offer junior scientists a short two-week exploratory experience in their institutions.

Article in EU Journal Open Access Government

In this article, published in the EU journal Open Access Government, ECNP executive director Alex Schubert gives an overview of some of the ways in which ECNP-related initiatives – including PRISM, Eat2beNICE and the Neuroscience-based Nomenclature – are pushing the frontiers of brain research and opening up new treatment horizons for those suffering from disorders of the brain.

Call for session proposals for ECNP Congress 2019

We have begun planning an exciting scientific programme for the 32nd ECNP Congress taking place in Copenhagen on 7-10 September 2019. The Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) invites you to contribute by submitting a proposal for a full session in applied and translational neuroscience. The SPC also welcomes session proposals from allied disciplines, including neurology and psychology.

ECNP Preclinical Network Data Prize announced

What is believed to be the world’s first prize for published “negative” scientific results, the “ECNP Preclinical Network Data Prize” has been announced by the ECNP’s Preclinical Data Forum. The €10,000 prize, aimed initially at neuroscience research, is to encourage publication of data where the results do not confirm the expected outcome or original hypothesis.
